Huawei Mate
Huawei has always been considered among the best smartphone manufacturers, especially as regards the multimedia sector. According to DxOMark, a site that takes care of detecting benchmarks on lenses and cameras, Huawei Mate 40 Pro + has registered a new record with 139 points in the camera department, sitting on top of the Olympus of the best cameraphone currently on the market. The previous record belonged to the younger brother Huawei Mate 40 Pro with 136 points overall followed by Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra con 133 points . In fourth place we find Huawei P 40 Pro , to underline the photographic quality of the Chinese brand, with 3 devices in the first four places . Despite this, Huawei still has significant room for improvement in some areas, including zoom and video.
Here’s Why Huawei Mate 40 Pro + is the best smartphone for photos
The photographic section of Mate 40 Pro + , enhanced compared to its younger brother, is formed by a main ultra vision from 50 MP , an ultra wide angle from 20 MP a telephoto lens from 12 MP with 5X zoom and optical stabilization, finally a multispectral color temperature sensor. The front camera is an ultra vision a 13 MP with ToF sensor for the 3D depth sensing .
The shots are of very high quality thanks to the collaboration with Leica , offer a Wide dynamic range, excellent exposure in all conditions and accurate noise reduction. There are many usable features, capable of guaranteeing an unprecedented photographic experience with the collaboration of a lens with a wide viewing angle (FOV from 14 mm) and the OIS.
The camera, although of an enviable level, has some small problems that can be improved. Among these we note the presence of a shallow depth of field and less sharpness in video frames in low light conditions. The close range autofocus often has some inconsistencies between the preview shown and the shots actually captured.
