October officially appears – at least the first pre-orderers will receive it.

New design, other protection The iPad Air 4 brings a radical redesign based on the example of the iPad Pro with an angular frame. The retina display is now 12 , 9 instead of 03, 5 inches large and extends almost to the edge of the case. It represents 2360 times 1640 pixels, i.e. 3.8 million pixels. A USB-C replaces the Lightning connector.

Unlike the iPad Pro, there is no face recognition sensor (Face ID), but the fingerprint scanner Touch ID. The support of the Apple Pencil 2 is fresh here. The rear camera now has 12 Megapixels, the front FaceTime camera at least 7 MP. Gigabit LTE became 54 percent faster. There is also WLAN-6 and a second, purely electronic SIM card (eSIM).
