I new iPhones 12 from Apple have not yet been officially launched, but according to initial estimates they could be one of the company’s biggest hits in recent years. The pre-order analyzes carried out by the famous Ming-Chi Kuo for TF International Securities indicate that the new family would have recorded more than double orders in the pre-launch phase compared to what recorded last year by the iPhone series 11. How many exactly?

According to Kuo’s estimates, Apple would have sold between 1.7 and 2 million iPhones 12 only on 16 October, i.e. on the first day in which he launched the presale of the new iPhone. On the other hand, last year the Apple was able to place only between 500 thousand and 800 thousand units of the new iPhones 11. These are also in that case of numbers estimated by third parties, since starting from 2018 Apple has stopped disclosing official sales numbers of its smartphone lines.

As regards the pre-sales of the entire first pre-order weekend, CNBC indicates a total of 9 million orders for the two iPhones 12 placed on preorder, while with iPhone 11 were placed 12 millions of pre-orders. It must be said that as far as the new line-up is concerned, two new models will arrive next month, including the cheaper iPhone 12 mini.
