In a new post published on his blog official, Crystal Dynamics has updated the community of Marvel’s Avengers on the latest GaaS news. Despite the lukewarm reception of specialized critics, the title published by Square Enix has already become the seventh best-selling title of 2020, at least for the US market.
For current players there is a thank you package with credits and game resources as a gift, while for those who are waiting patiently for the landing on next-gen there’s bad news: the PlayStation 5 and versions ) Xbox Series X | S are state referred to 2021 . It will also delay the first post-launch DLC that would introduce a new playable character.
Marvel’s Avengers will arrive in 2021 on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S
As Scot Amos explains of Crystal Dynamics , in the development team’s plans there is constant post-launch support for Marvel’s Avengers, through a series of corrective patches and new in-game content for the community. Speaking of the contents, however, the publication of the first add-on has already been postponed until after October: “We apologize for this slight delay, but our team is committed above all to quality “, comments Amos.
DLC just postponed, let’s talk about the additional content dedicated to Kate Bishop , better known as Hawk eye. “Kate’s new operation will be a must for all fans who want to know how the story will evolve! In Marvel’s Avengers: Kate Bishop – AIM In the open, tachyon fractures will be the heralds of a new threat. As players investigate their source, they will stumble upon a story set shortly after the Gathering campaign ends “.
Amos also spoke of the postponement of the next-gen versions of Marvel’s Avengers. His team has decided to postpone the release of the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S at 2021 , “to ensure we give to our team time to offer you a next gen experience worthy of this game “.
Crystal Dynamics reminds us, in any case, that Marvel’s Avengers will be backwards compatible with new generation platforms and will enjoy some technical improvements, both by inserting the disc inside the console – on PS5 Retail and Xbox Series X – both by re-downloading the game in digital format. Among the benefits provided by the next-gen hardware we will have an improved framerate and reduced loading times , thanks to SSD support.
As reported by Kotaku, moreover, an optimist Amos said a few words about Marvel’s Avengers PC users: “We are confident that we will see PC users return to non as we add new, exciting late-game content and show that we continue to focus on improving the game “.
Marvel’s Avengers is available since last September 4th on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. For the new PlayStation and Xbox, therefore, we will have to wait for 2021.
