Microsoft manager announces surprises and events for 2021

Yesterday we reported that Microsoft has made a new trademark registration with the Xbox Series XS. Although this does not necessarily imply a new console, Xbox Marketing Manager Aaron Greenberg has expressed himself via Twitter and further fueled the rumor mill. According to the manager, there should be a large number of Xbox releases in the year 2021. In addition to Bethesda, Greenberg explicitly mentions Psychonauts 2, Halo Infinite and other surprises. However, the marketing manager leaves open whether this could also be a new console.
Even if Microsoft has planned numerous releases in the future, it is still almost impossible to get hold of a console in retail stores. Although the company is trying to provide replenishment, this is still a long time coming. It seems to be different here at Sony at the moment. According to some retailers, there will be a bulk shipment of PlayStation 5 consoles tomorrow, January 7th 2021. It remains to be seen whether this will come true. In addition, it is unclear whether said next-gen consoles will even end up in the free sale. So far, various pre-orders are still waiting for their PS5.

The current situation is not expected to ease until April 2021 at the earliest. With the shutdown, which has been extended and tightened again, interest in video games is increasing again in Germany. At the beginning of last year, the shutdown that was imposed caused a large crowd on the Nintendo Switch. As a result, the console was largely sold out.
