Microsoft announced yesterday in its Windows Experience Blog that the new Windows 10 20 H2 update is now available for download. The update can be downloaded by users of the versions 1903 and higher as usual via the Windows update function.
The update comes with many new features and design changes. The most important changes concern Microsoft’s own Edge browser and the new start menu as well as the taskbar. The Edge Browser is said to have been improved again to offer faster performance and more privacy. The new “Collection” function allows users to store Internet pages and files, such as images, in an organized manner. Furthermore, a price comparison function has been integrated directly into the browser. With the key combination Alt + Tab it is now also possible for users to look at the open tabs in an overview and then easily switch them. similar to what has been possible with open programs up to now. Further features are to follow every six weeks. The following video provides an insight:

A serious change affects the start menu and the taskbar. Both have been given a new design. The square backgrounds for the app icons have been removed and the large tiles are now partially transparent. Furthermore, the appearance can be further adapted to your own wishes by selecting certain topics. The taskbar should now appear tidier in fresh Windows installations and be less cluttered. Here, too, the design decision should be brought closer to the user. In addition, notifications will in future be provided with a small icon that provides information about the corresponding application. Another function relates to the display. It is now possible to change the frame rate of a display directly via the system settings. Furthermore, 2-1 devices will automatically switch to tablet mode when the keyboard is removed. Previously, users had to manually confirm the change every time.
The security options have also been strengthened. Windows Defender will protect Edge and Microsoft with a unique hardware isolation strategy and unlocking via biometrics, like F
