Nikon announced prices and availability of the new Nikon Z 6II and Nikon Z 7II full-frame top-of-the-range mirrorless cameras . Starting from the solid foundation of the two founding models of the system, Nikon had corrected the shot and presents the heirs of the first Z6 and Z7. It did so with a change from the historical nomenclature and therefore the new models are not Nikon Z7S and Z6S, but Nikon Z 7II and Nikon Z 6II, adopting the ‘Mark II’ label, perhaps easier to understand for the general public.

The sensors have not changed ( 24, 5 megapixels for Z6 II and 45, 7 megapixels for Z7 II ), but several changes make the evolution of Z6 and Z7 substantial. The first is the adoption of Twin EXPEED processors: compared to the first models, Z7 II and Z6 II carry on board a double image processor EXPEED 6 , effectively doubling the calculation and making greater use of sensor performance. Nikon declares improvements both in terms of dynamic range and in terms of yield at all ISO values, with cleaner images over the entire sensitivity range.

The greater power of the processors brings with it an improvement much requested by users, the possibility of record movies in 4K format / 60 p , compared to the 30 frames per second made available by the first two models. Speaking of movies, among the options you can record HDR videos with the HLG curve. Gust capacities are also growing , with Z7 II gaining one frame per second, reaching bursts of 10 fps , and Z6 II gaining two, reaching 14 fps : in both cases the buffer, with deeper bursts, which in the case of Z 6II arrive at 200 JPEG or 124 Uncompressed RAW images a 12 bit in one
