No more selling cheap gaming accounts on Allegro – the new terms and conditions of the service will come into force from January 2021
Source: Pure PC added 16th Dec 2020One of the biggest plagues on Allegro are auctions containing accounts for selected gaming platforms at very low prices, often not exceeding a dozen zlotys. For a long time, users have complained about this type of auction, which is far from legal. So far, however, the regulations of the most popular auction site in Poland have not included any specific regulations that would block the possibility of trading such accounts. Today it has changed, because Allegro has informed about further changes to the regulations. They will apply from the beginning of January. For players, the most important point is information about automatic banning of this type of auction. What exactly changes will Allegro introduce soon?
From January 4 2021, Allegro will block auctions in which sellers trade accounts incl. related to games and music.
Terms and conditions of all platforms that offer the ability to play on PC make it clear that it is not allowed to resell or share with others. Unfortunately, such trading in Steam, EA Play (formerly Origin), Ubisoft Connect (formerly Uplay), Epic Games or GOG accounts is very popular on Allegro, where we have to pay a few or a dozen zlotys to log in. From January 4 this will no longer be possible. The new regulations of the Allegro portal, which will come into force in 2.5 weeks, clearly inform what will happen in this topic.
The entry applies not only to websites with games for PCs, but also consoles. Therefore, it will not be possible to share accounts for Xbox or PlayStation consoles. In addition, this also applies to platforms that allow you to stream music from the network. The regulations mention, among others o Spotify and Tidal, but the new entries will also apply to other services. According to the information provided by Allegro, after January 4, auctions with access to gaming or music accounts will be automatically deleted.
