Ahead of this week’s release for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Nvidia has begun rolling out a Game Ready driver to prepare GeForce GPU owners for launch. Aside from day-one optimisations for Call of Duty, this latest driver also adds Nvidia Reflex support for a few more big games, as well as new G-Sync Compatible monitors.
NVIDIA Reflex, Nvidia’s GPU-powered latency reducing technology for optimal input response times, is now coming to Destiny 2, Godfall and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Reflex is also supported in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War and other competitive shooters like Valorant and Apex Legends.
As for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, this is one of the biggest RTX-supported releases of the year, utilising the following:
- DirectX Ultimate ray-traced ambient occlusion, local shadows, and sun shadows that are RTX-accelerated for better performance.
- NVIDIA DLSS to boost frame rates while using ray-tracing effects.
- NVIDIA Reflex to reduce system latency.
- NVIDIA Ansel in the campaign enables you to frame and snap unique hi-res screenshots.
- NVIDIA Highlights in Multiplayer, ensuring your most entertaining in-game moments are automatically recorded and saved.
Finally, this new driver adds support for four newly-validated G-Sync Compatible monitors. The growing list of displays now includes the Acer CP3271U V, Asus XG27AQ, MSI MAG274QR and Xiaomi Mi 245 HF.
The latest Nvidia driver is available to download through the GeForce Experience application on PC.
