OPPO Reno5 Pro in the TENAA base. Will the new flagship surprise us?
Source: Pure PC added 25th Nov 2020We have completed the tests of the successful OPPO Reno4 Pro smartphone relatively recently and we are preparing a review of this year’s Reno4 line-up for you. Despite this, today we can talk about the future of the Reno brand, which will be joined by the OPPO Reno5 Pro model. It just so happens that the equipment has just appeared in the TENAA certification base, which allows us to know its partial technical specification. Although there are no graphics presenting the appearance of the device on the certifier’s website, their appearance on the web is only a matter of time. The device will come in two versions, labeled PDSM 00 and PDST 00. So let’s check what exactly we can expect from the next iteration of the flagship member of the Reno series from OPPO.
OPPO Reno5 Pro series smartphones marked as PDSM 00 and PDST 00 appeared in the TENAA certificate store. Here is the partial technical specification of the upcoming mobile devices from the manufacturer.

The appearance of OPPO Reno5 Pro will remain a secret for some time, but the specifications, although only partial, we can talk right now. The smartphone in question will receive a 6 inch screen 55, which is a surprise to me. I was betting that OPPO would follow the trend for larger and larger units and would offer a 6.7-inch or even 6.8-inch screen. The TENAA report shows a battery with a capacity 2125 mAh, but the nominal value is probably one of the two cells. This means that we can expect a battery 4250 mAh. This is a reasonable value that will allow you to work a full day on a single charge (65 in SuperVOOC 2.0)

OPPO Reno5 Pro is also mentioned in terms of dimensions 159, 7 x 73, 2 x 7.6 mm. The device will therefore be slightly taller and thicker than its predecessor. However, there are a few issues where changes can be expected. It is quite likely that the manufacturer will give up the screen notch hiding the selfie camera, using a different, interchangeable solution. It may be a retractable mechanism. Unofficially, it is said that instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7xx series chip, OPPO Reno5 Pro may host an 8xx series processor. This would be a significant change, unfortunately – also in terms of price.
