Half smartphone, half power bank: The Poco M3 is an entry-level smartphone with full battery capacity. Thanks to reverse charging, other devices can also be charged by cable with the integrated 6000 mAh battery. If the smartphone announced for December is not used as a power bank, according to the manufacturer, it should last for three days with normal use. The included power supply charges the device with 18 watts.

Large display, three cameras Apart from the battery, the Poco M3 is well equipped for a 150 – Euro smartphone. The 6.5 inch IPS display solves with 2340 × 1080 pixels and according to Poco reaches a maximum brightness of 400 cd / m².

The smartphone is equipped with three cameras, but only two of them can be controlled directly. In addition to the 18 – megapixel main camera (aperture f / 1.8) a 2 megapixel macro lens. Another 2 megapixel sensor collects depth information. The front camera (f / 2) takes 8 megapixel photos.

Dual SIM and jack socket The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 (4 × ARM Cortex-A 73 with up to 2 GHz and 4 × ARM Cortex-A 53 with up to 1.8 GHz). The main memory is 4 GB. The 64 or 128 GByte internal memory can be expanded by up to 512 Expand GByte. The smartphone also accepts two SIM cards. A headphone jack is also part of the equipment as is the stereo speaker. It is unlocked via the fingerprint sensor on the side of the case.

As an entry-level smartphone with a large battery capacity, Poco positions the M3 as an alternative to the recently introduced Motorola G9 Power. Like the Poco, the G9 Power is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery and can also be used to charge other devices. It has been on the market since the beginning of November.

The Poco M3 comes with Android 10 in the trade. Poco did not provide any information on whether an upgrade to Android 10 will take place. The device, which will be available from December 2nd, costs in the 53 – GByte version 150, With 128 GByte Flash 150 Euro.
