Introduction

Redragon is the gaming peripheral brand of Eastern Times Technology Co., Ltd., which is based in China and was established in 1996. The M808 Storm shares its shape with the Cobra M711 FPS (see our review), but has received several changes under the hood. Instead of LK optical switches, regular mechanical switches are used for the main buttons. The sensor is PixArt’s PAW3327, which is natively capable of 6200 CPI, but can do 12,400 CPI using interpolation. A honeycomb structure ensures a lower weight, and a new paracord-like braided cable ensures less cable drag. Of course, extensive RGB lighting and software customization options are still included.

Important: Out of the box, the M808 Storm suffers from a severe issue which greatly increases click latency and can result in clicks not being registered as long as RGB is enabled. In order to fix this issue, a new firmware ought to be applied. The review sample is on said firmware.
