There have been rumors on the web for a long time that Samsung intends to kill the Galaxy Note series. It was, however, vague information of a questionable nature. The Korean report, which refers to the words of one of the Samsung Group representatives regarding earlier reports, are already clearer. They show that the manufacturer actually plans to get rid of the recognizable Galaxy Note line. Nothing happens without a reason and here we can also find some dependencies. Well, the reason for the potential changes is the equipment of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy S 21 Ultra with support for the S-Pen stylus and the function previously reserved for Notes.

It’s basically certain. Samsung will abandon the Galaxy Note series, focusing on the development of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy S 21 Ultra smartphones. What about the stylus?

Samsung Galaxy Note series have been with us for years . Initially, these devices were targeted at the broadly understood business, but with time they took on a more lifestyle character. The key to the line’s success was the S-Pen stylus and the constantly developing possibilities it offered. Stylus supported the creativity of creative individuals, while helping entrepreneurs in mobile “office work”. Nevertheless, the border between Notes and the other flagship series of the manufacturer – Galaxy S began to blur. In fact, the most important point was the compatibility with the new stylus features. What if the Galaxy S series and Galaxy Z Fold got the mentioned solution?

The answer may be Samsung’s withdrawal from the long-term Galaxy Note project. This is more than a likely scenario. According to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 report, which will be announced in June 2021, the smartphone will receive support for the S-Pen. These will also go to the Galaxy S 21 Ultra, although in this case we probably won’t see an integrated stylus slot. The accessory would be sold separately. I do not hide, however, that the most interesting issue will be the screen durability in Z Fold3 for continuous work with a stylus. Will the successor of UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) cope with this task?
