This year 2020 we have seen how the chip division of Samsung sold its Exynos models 880 Y 980 to the Chinese manufacturer Vivo to use in its terminals, the Vivo X 30 includes the Exynos 980 and the Vivo Y 51 s includes the Exynos 880. Samsung used to add Exynos processors in its flagship for the European version and Snapdragon for the rest of versions , as we have seen in your new Galaxy S 20 FE, Samsung has decided to do without these Exynos processors adding a Snapdragon for everyone.
The reason for dispensing with their own Exynos processors in high-end Samsung terminals is that they do not offer a great benefit and has sought more clients to supply its chips , thus for the 2021 Xiaomi and Oppo would join the purchase of Samsung processors for their terminals. With this operation, Samsung would have a good market share in the sale of processors since Huawei would have already stopped manufacturing its own with the veto imposed by the United States.
However, Samsung is making new Exynos processors with 5 nanometer technology, the Exynos 1080 with Cortex A cores 78 and with a 20% more performance than previous . Samsung will introduce these processors in its Galaxy A range of its own brand in addition to selling the Chinese manufacturer Vivo for its X terminal 60. It also plans to launch the new Exynos 2100 soon.
