Screen notches are slowly becoming a thing of the past, as companies use methods such as a webcam sliding out of the housing or a rotating photo module. ZTE even showed a smartphone in which the camera hides directly under the display and it seems that the mentioned technology is the real future. Samsung is also preparing a variant of the mentioned solution, but it will first go not to the phone, but to a notebook with an OLED screen. This is the result of the latest Samsung Display entry, which the manufacturer published on the pages of the Chinese website Weibo.

The first mobile device to use a selfie camera hidden under the screen is ZTE Axon 20 5G, however, this technology should be included in many of this year’s constructions. Most people expect to see such solutions in the smartphone segment, but one of the manufacturers decided to surprise us. Not necessarily nice. On the Samsung Display profile on the Weibo social network, there is an entry about working on a laptop equipped with an OLED screen. It is accompanied by a video material showing the title “feature”.

Taking into account, after all, the official announcement, we can assume that the laptop with an OLED screen from Samsung Display will be the first mobile device with a webcam hidden in the display. It is almost certain that a similar design will be used in the manufacturer’s flagship smartphones. Perhaps it will be the Galaxy Note model 21 or one of the foldable phones planned for 2021 a year. We need to wait for specific information or credible leaks that will shed some light on the matter.
