With the Light² 100 Sharkoon presented the second mouse, which is based on a very light construction. The bigger brother the Light² We recently had in our editorial office for a test on site, and now we want to take a closer look at the little brother and find out to what extent it is a 23 – Euro model can record with other mice from the same trend movement.

The trend of mice with a very low total weight continues and meanwhile many manufacturers already have a mouse in their range under 80 g weighs. So also the Light² 100, which have a total weight of just once 78 g comes without a cable. The difference to the big brother or to mice like the Xtrfy X4 or the Cooler Master MM 710 is immediately clear, which explains the big difference in weight. The Sharkoon Light² 100 is a mouse with a closed body.

Most mice with a very low weight rely on a housing with an open honeycomb structure. This saves a lot of material which in the case of the Cooler Master MM 710 leads to a total weight of 53 g. However, these open designs are not to everyone’s taste, as they make them more susceptible to contamination on the inside. Because through the open housing dust and possibly sweat from the palm of the hand can get into the inside of the mouse.

Technical data & scope of delivery

The Sharkoon Light² is delivered 100 in a small black / blue package. The inside of the mouse is protected from bumps by a cardboard inlay. In addition to the mouse itself, we also find a quick guide and a couple of replacement gliders. From a purely technical point of view, the Omron switches have been chosen as a solid base for the main buttons. Sharkoon uses a PixArt 100, which is not a high-end sensor but with 200 – 5. 000 DPI should offer a sufficiently large range .
