SPC Gear may not ring bells at the head of many readers. It is a brand focused on gaming peripherals from SilentiumPC, better known as a case manufacturer, which has not been more comfortable in the headlines so far. Now the company has released new versions of its LIX series gaming mice that have slipped under the radar of io-Tech’s delivery.

SPC Gear released the original LIX and LIX Plus gaming mice earlier this year, but now new white versions of Onyx White mice have been launched. The name of the mice has its roots in Roman numerals, which turn the LIX into a form 38, which is also the weight of the mice. Lightweight mice therefore rely on an open honeycomb structure that, at least in terms of images, is larger than most of its competitors.

LIX mice are equipped with PixArt’s PMW 3325 sensor, while Plus models use more robust PPMW 3360. The DPI range of the base model is 300 – 8000 and the Plus model 300 – 12 000. The main buttons on the mice are implemented with Omron switches and TPFE paws can be found on the bottom of the mouse. In addition to the main buttons, the mice are equipped with two thumb buttons and a DPI button. Due to the honeycomb structure, the mouse circuit boards are protected against moisture and dust with an unspecified coating.

The strategic dimensions of both the Basic and Plus models are 126 x 65, 7 x 38, 5 mm and weight already mentioned 44 grams. Mice also feature RGB lighting hidden inside the honeycomb structure, in line with today’s trends.

SPC Gear LIX Onyx White and LIX Plus Onyx White will be available immediately with a two-year warranty. The recommended price for the basic model is 38 and the Plus model 44 euros. The black versions have been available for a long time at identical recommended prices.
