The premiere of Sony PlayStation 5 is fast approaching. Not all, however, correspond to the appearance of the console, presented in June this year. There are also people who like the futuristic look of the housing, but the white color – not necessarily. The Japanese company has not announced a black version yet, but a few months ago there were intriguing reports with photos suggesting that it will be possible to replace the side panels without major problems. We have good news for you. Although Sony has not officially announced anything like this, the PlateStation 5 offer confirms that nothing will prevent us from replacing the original, white panels with those that suit us better.

PlateStation 5 has confirmed with its offer that Sony will allow players to seamlessly replace the side panels of the PS5 console.

PlateStation 5, which is not affiliated with Sony in any way, has begun pre-selling unofficial replacement panels for the PS5 console. Its offer includes five, quite ordinary color versions: chrome, cherry red, matte black, indigo and with a “jungle camouflage” pattern. Each set of panels has been priced at 34, 95 euro (approx. 160 PLN) and they are available for both the standard edition of the PlayStation 5 console and the Digital Edition. Shipment will take place 12 November or shortly before that date.

Certainly, after the premiere of the PlayStation 5 console, you can expect a flood of various panels, including themes from popular games. In recent months, graphics showing the original PS5 and DualSense controller designs by fans and artists have been released on the web. Among them were console editions with themes from games such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales, God of War or Cyberpunk 2077 and we would be surprised if other companies did not followed in the footsteps of PlateStation 5, offering more attractive compositions. Time will tell. There are already 3-4 weeks to the premiere of the PS5, depending on the country (the console will go to Poland in November).
