The Steam platform keeps monthly statements about what its users are playing. Originally, we provided just such a summary every month. Ultimately, it seems more logical to present the results of the Steam survey at longer, six-monthly intervals. We collected the last data in May this year, and it is mainly to them that we will compare the current results to, at first glance, see what components most Steam users (or rather those who share their data) can boast of. This news is also a place to show off (or complain) about your own gaming machine in the comments.

How has players’ equipment changed over the last 6 months? How about the last year? The last data we collected comes from May this year and we will compare them to current results to see at a glance what components most Steam users can boast of.

Steam Halloween Game sales and sales on GOG, Epic Store and Origin

Thanks to our archival results from a year ago (November to be precise) 2019), below you will find a table presenting top components / systems also from that period. Well, what can we read from all this? Successive switching to Windows 08, as well as the abandonment of 4-core processors in favor of 6-cores. The graphics queen for many, many months is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX card 1060, although the NVIDIA GeForce GTX is also slowly climbing the ranks 1650 and may soon dethrone the GTX model 1050 from third place. Of course, the list does not include any cards from the RTX series 3000, and from such RTX 2080 Ti only uses 0, 88% of players sharing their hardware stats.

Steam Poll – GeForce RTX Cards 2000 are still unpopular

Although users with 8 GB of memory still dominate in terms of operating memory, they are decreasing in favor of those who already use more than 16 GB. There are also slowly increasing numbers of players with a monitor resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (third most popular). From 4K Resolution (3840 x 2160 px) is currently used by 2.3% of “steamers”, and the ultra-wide resolution of 1.1% (2560 x 1080 px) and 0, 95% (3440 x (px) people. On Steam, we mainly use English, simplified Chinese and Russian, while Spanish and German are behind the three. As it turns out, the Polish language is also decent, eighth out of 2, 06 percentages of all players sharing their data with Valve.
