More than two years late, the successor to the popular hardcore jump-n-run Super Meat Boy has now appeared. Super Meat Boy Forever is initially available for the PC in the Epic Games store and for the Nintendo Switch. Next year the game will be released for Xbox, Playstation and Steam. The game continues the story of its predecessor, this time the child of the eponymous piece of meat and his girlfriend Bandage Girl must be rescued from the hands of the villain Doctor Fetus. For this, the developers have created thousands of levels that are randomly put together.

Iconic piece of meat The predecessor, which appeared more than ten years ago, has long been considered a classic, 2012 the documentary had one View of the creation and the sweaty day of the publication. Super Meat Boy draws its charm from the combination of an extremely high level of difficulty with precise controls and fast gameplay. Games have to move the eponymous piece of meat safely through the level full of obstacles within a very short time and the level of difficulty increases enormously. If that doesn’t work, the level will restart without any waiting time and it can result in a real intoxication. The successor should now build on this, but with more control options. McMillen then left the project behind. 2017 Refenes had one publication in the year 2018 announced for loads of platforms. But nothing came of that, and several postponements followed. Refenes later announced that the title would be available exclusively in the Epic Games store for the PC for a year. The Jump-n-Run would not appear on Steam until Christmas 2021.
