Just yesterday we were talking about the difficulties that a hypothetical lack of available storage could pose on the Xbox Series S , something that with just 5 big games could be completely full. However, in Xbox we have the option of expanding the storage using the drives that Microsoft together with Seagate has designed for them.

In the case of Sony, we saw how the console had an M.2 slot. to connect practically any unit we want, something that is also evident by the availability of mounting holes for different sizes of SSD , so while some drives may not be physically compatible due to the thickness of their heatsinks, this is generally a standard slot.

Unfortunately, players from the Sony console will see how your console will not accept additional storage units for now , since the slot will be disabled for the launch of the console and will be enabled in a future through a system update.

It is certainly something that will disappoint many users, especially those who have bought a unit and cannot use it, at the same time that the unit of 825 GB of the console is left with some 667 GB available.
