The NVIDIA RTX 3060 will arrive in January followed by the RTX 3080 Ti with 20 GB of vRAM
Source: Geeknetic added 15th Dec 2020NVIDIA prepares the launch of the RTX 3060 for January of 2021 with two variants, followed by RTX 3080 Ti with 20 GB of vRAM in February, later than expected, at least according to the exclusive they claim to have on the igor`s lab portal.
The RTX 3060 will have variants of 6 and 12 GB vRAM
The RTX 3060 will arrive in two versions repeating Nvidia’s strategy with the GTX 1060 and its 3 and 6 GB versions. According to the leaks, the RTX 3060 will have a 6 GB variant and another variant of 12 GB , with more memory than the RTX 3070 and that even the RTX 3080 with its 10 GB.
The RTX 3080 You will reach 20 GB memory and will match RTX 3090 in CUDA Cores
On the other hand, the RTX 3080 Ti will have twice the memory than the RTX 3080 , going from 10 GB GDDR6X to 20 GB GDDR6X and becoming one of the most powerful options of the brand. It remains to be seen what extra performance it offers, since the difference between the RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090, as we have seen in our review, it is quite small and there seems to be not much room for a new model. Unless the price is much more competitive than the NVIDIA flagship.
This RTX 3080 Ti, or RTX 3080 Super, will be based on the Ampere GA GPU 100 – 250 , with a power of 32 TFLOPS and 10496 CUDA Cores, 328 Tensor Cores and 82 RT Cores, the same as RTX 3090, although it is to be expected that with some frequencies lower .. Your 20 GB of memory will run at 19 Gbps.
We will have to wait to see if this information is confirmed and we start the year with new graphics and, above all, if there will be stock of them.
