After a rather troubled pre-production, the shooting of the Uncharted were inaugurated last spring. The cinematic adaptation of the Naughty Dog game will star Nathan Drake, of course, played by Londoner Tom Holland .

It is the actor who shares the first official photo from the set of the feature film, wearing the iconic robes of the Uncharted hero. The first test, that of the look, seems definitely outdated.

I work on the Uncharted movie was abruptly stopped this summer, due to the COVID pandemic – 19 . The break for Tom Holland and the other cast members has just ended and the Avengers star – iconic face of Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man – can finally reveal the look of his Nathan Drake. After sporting a new hairstyle, the British actor shared one of the first official images from the set on Instagram: “Nice to meet you, I’m Nate “.

The first impression is to see an authentic rejuvenated version of the videogame Nathan Drake, with Holland perfectly embodying the appearance and style of the character. We recall, moreover, that the actor 24 could be the protagonist of an unpublished story, probably a prequel that will tell the origins of Nate and his mentor Victor Sullivan – here played by Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, The Fighter).

Holland and the other actors also received a very special visit: he is Nolan North , voice actor and interpreter of Nathan Drake in Naughty Dog games. Good North has published other images from the set, including a photo of him alongside his young counterpart.

In addition to the duo formed by Holland and Wahlberg, the cast of film will also see the participation of Antonio Banderas , Sophia Taylor Ali and Tati Gabrielle ; Banderas himself had had to temporarily abandon filming last August, after testing positive for COVID – 19. The feature film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer , director of Zombieland (2009) and the film dedicated to Venom (2018).

The theatrical debut is scheduled for 16 July 2021 , except for any delays.
