After some content creators were able to inspect the new PlayStation 5, the first hands-on reports are now appearing Xbox Series X on the Internet. Among other things, there is a video review on the Digital Foundry YouTube channel, in which, in addition to the temperature development of the new Microsoft console, the power consumption was examined. If the power consumption is the same, the next-gen console from the international hardware and software manufacturer offers more performance than its predecessor. In addition to the performance, the volume of the console also plays an important role. In contrast to the PS4, Sony has already scored points with the new generation. Microsoft is therefore under pressure to act. However, the Redmond-based company also seems to deliver here. According to DF, the Series X is so quiet that a measurement is not worthwhile and has been omitted. As a result, there are no exact numbers, but it can be assumed that the Series X will not generate excessive noise.

The heat development was also an issue in the YouTube video . Here, the new Microsoft console got warm during use, but the testers never noticed excessive heat. The low volume of the cooling system does not seem to have a negative effect on the operating temperature.
Furthermore, the development manager Phil Spencer announced in an interview that some games on the Series S will load faster than the Series X will be. The reason for this is by no means the faster hardware, but only the lower resolution of the games. This means that significantly fewer pixels have to be displayed, which of course brings about a reduction in loading times compared to the Series X. Ultimately, however, this should only be relevant for casual gamers.
