A new report that we can reading in GSMArena indicates that Huawei is in the final stages of testing what they mention “liquid lenses”, a new technology which is supposed to greatly improve optical image stabilization, as well as focus times.
To quantify this, it is explained that the focus time of the terminal would be reduced to a few milliseconds, thus coinciding with the focus time of the human eye , something we do not have to wait for regularly, so it would become an extremely responsive lens that could work very well even in Super slow motion recordings.
But nevertheless, it is mentioned that the technology will be used for the first time in a telephoto lens for its next flagship , so that instead By moving the lenses, an electrical system will modify the shape of this fluid to focus the light on the sensor. As an additional feature, we will see that the implementation will be more resistant to shocks than the focus motors that are commonly used, so we can see less damage related to blows.
As we also read, this telephoto lens will be positioned in front of a Sony IMX sensor 782 still to be announced, so we can expect a high quality camera, just as Huawei has us used to.
