David Martinez , known to most people as TheGrefg , is a very popular Spanish streamer among Fortnite fans, and more. Martinez is also one of the most followed content creators on Twitch , where a few hours ago he managed to break the record total number of users connected at the same time as a live show: over 2 million viewers followed his broadcast.

Twitch: TheGrefg overtook Ninja for the second time

The incredible milestone was reached during one of the last live by David “TheGrefg” Martinez . In this live, the streamer presented his custom skin from the Icon series of Fortnite : a real exclusive treatment that Epic reserves for the most influential creators of the gaming scene – even Tyler “Ninja” Blevins can boast the his skin Icon.

Before I can even make the announcement. TheGrefg realized it had passed the 2 million concurrent user mark. As Twitch Tracker confirms, the peak reached by the Spanish streamer equals 2, 470, 347 spectators : the previous record held by the ELEAGUE TV network (1, 088 millions of users), followed by Sony PlayStation (1, 041 mln).

The only streamer to approach such figures is the aforementioned Ninja . Until a few months ago, the American streamer and pro player held the record for the largest number of viewers connected simultaneously to a single livestream, or 635 thousand users (March 2018). This record was demolished by Martinez himself last December (660. 0 users) during an event of Fortnite , but with the latest live TheGrefg exceeded all expectations.

David Martinez’s Twitch channel is followed by over 6.3 million people and averages 85. 193 spectators. TheGrefg is also very popular on YouTube, where the count exceeds 16 millions of subscribers to the channel. We will see if the Spanish streamer will manage to outdo himself once again or if he will be overtaken by another content creator.
