Sony surprises users by introducing a new feature on PlayStation 4 , a console that is about to to give way to the new PS5 . The last feature allows us to interact with the next-gen machine: it is the app PlayStation 5 Remote Play , thanks to which we will be able to reproduce (in streaming) all the games and contents installed on the new platform.
In short, it is still too early to retire the monolith black.
Remote Play: a bridge between PS4 and the new PS5
The announcement comes from the same Japanese company: the app PlayStation 5 Remote Play is now present on PS4 and will soon allow users of the next-gen console to play titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls on the current-gen platform
We specify that the Remote Play application was already introduced on PlayStation 4 to allow players to play r the contents of the home console on a PC or a mobile device. By enabling this feature on PlayStation 5 we will be able to take advantage of the ‘old’ system to access the next-gen catalog via streaming : All content streamed from PS5 to PS4 will support standard resolutions 540 eg 720 eg, finally, the maximum resolution 1080 p .
You will not need to use the Remote Play features on PS5 own a PS4. The Windows version of the app will also be updated to support the new resolution, as well as welcome compatibility with the ‘ HDR . Instead, the option to adjust the frame rate has been removed, which apparently will automatically adapt to the speed of your connection.
Taking advantage of streaming PS5 games on PS4 will actually be possible play next generation titles with the DualShock 4 . Of course, in this case we won’t be able to take advantage of the innovative features of the DualSense controller – such as haptic feedback or adaptive triggers – but it will not matter as long as we are able to access new games from another room in the house.
We remind you that it is just over a week to go until the launch of PlayStation 5 . Sony’s new flagship will land in Italy next 19 November , in two different versions: one equipped with a Blu-Ray player, sold at 499 euro, and another without the optical reader, available for ‘only’ 399 EUR.
